The hostels of piligrims

Along the way, we visited several hotels. The first one, located in Villadangos, was closed.
Afterwards, we found more of them. In San Martín del Camino there were three. The owners of the hostels told us interesting things and facts about the Way to Santiago, the nationalities of the pilgrims and their own personal experiences.
Talking about nationalities, there was a great variety: above all, there were german, korean, french, finnish, slovak and spanish.
The owners said that they had always got on well with the pilgrims and they were very lovely and kind, although they stayed only for a few days (two or three).
Every owner highlighted the roughness of the way. Most of them had done it before several times. All of them did it during the winter, as their job kept them busy on summer. One of them affirmed that the best season to perform it was on the spring and the fall, because the weather is more appropriated. Moreover, it's more personal and quiet, as the amount of pilgrims is lower, so it's more suitable for people who want to do it for spiritual reasons.
